"Following my request, today—the first available day after the conclusion of the preliminary investigation—I was interviewed by my party's panel of arbitrators, whom I have already thanked for their availability and attentiveness. It was a thorough and thorough discussion, in which my trusted defense attorneys, Ninni Reina and Antonia Lo Presti, also participated and spoke. In it, I presented the facts under investigation, including those regarding alleged personal gain, which the Palermo Prosecutor's Office itself deemed nonexistent, thus dismissing them. As the primary protagonist of my public and private life, I told the truth without omitting any detail, dispelling those legitimate doubts that were also the result of a media campaign that systematically sought to damage not only me, but also the image of my party, an issue that deeply saddened me."

Gaetano Galvagno, regional deputy for the Brothers of Italy (FdI) and president of the Sicilian Regional Assembly, stated: "Specifically, regarding the alleged embezzlement, I have already demonstrated how the regulations have been interpreted to date, and I have reiterated the need to draft a new regulation that is clear and unambiguous in the future. This initiative is already being examined by the Sicilian Regional Assembly (ARS). As I emphasized at the beginning of this matter, those like me who hold positions of responsibility must always ensure proper explanations for their actions, and it is my duty to seriously submit to every analysis, not only of their institutional activities, but also of their private lives. This is one of the fundamental traits that characterize membership in the Brothers of Italy, the political house I have always identified with and which, precisely through institutions like the Board of Arbitrators, confirms itself as the serious party that today governs our nation with merit," Galvagno concluded.
